Student Emergency and Retention Fund
Whether it’s covering essential living expenses during a crisis or helping students navigate unexpected challenges, the Student Emergency and Retention Fund ensures that no Bluejay has to put their education on hold due to financial hardship. Campus Ministry Retreat Scholarships
Creighton’s Jesuit tradition provides students with more than academic and professional growth — it fosters spiritual development and reflection. Campus Ministry walks alongside students of all faith traditions, offering prayer, community, formation, and opportunities to live their faith through service. Retreat scholarships help ensure every student can participate in these transformative experiences.

- Campus Ministry engages 300 students annually through retreats.
- 57% of the Campus Ministry budget is dedicated to retreats.
- Retreat expenses increased by 13% from 2024 to 2025.
Schlegel Center for Service and Justice (SCSJ)
The SCSJ awakens hearts and inspires lives of solidarity to build a more just world. Through service, reflection, and justice-focused programming, students develop into leaders who are ready to serve locally, nationally, and globally. Programs such as Local Community Engagement, Service & Justice Trips, Community Orientations, and the Ignatian Family Teach-In for Justice provide students with hands-on opportunities to live Creighton’s mission.

Did You Know?
- Each year, 275 students participate in Service & Justice Trips — with 160 students on 20 trips in the fall and 115 students on 12 trips in the spring.
- Every week, 265 students travel to community service sites, requiring up to eight rented vans at $70 each in addition to Creighton’s fleet.
- For just $40, a student can join a Community Orientation, learning firsthand about North Omaha, South Omaha, refugee communities, or environmental justice.
General University Scholarships
